Five Essentials of Life One – The Word is the Universal Spirit Causing everything to exist And this Word forms the basis Of the world’s religions Two – The breath or wind is of God, Making it possible for us to be alive It fills the ecosystem. Three – The sun is like a ball of fire Suppling energy, evaporating water, Determining the seasons, And causes storms on the earth Four – The earth consists of matter Through which all animate, And inanimate things are composed Five – All matter consists of water. Oceans, rivers, and streams Are replenished by the rains, and snowstorms From the heavens above “Gracious Provider, help us to appreciate these gifts to mankind. Guide us to use your blessings wisely.” Amen
