Evils of War

Evils of War

What else is so devastating as war? Still nations go to war reaping massive destruction. Thousands of innocent people die, and suffer.

Lives are needlessly lost. Towns, cities, and homes are destroyed. Missiles devastate the infrastructure of communities, and innocent people suffer.

Populations are uprooted and displaced. Some of the lucky ones escape to neighboring countries. However, many of these refugees die from hunger, starvation, and disease while in camps.

This has been the case of the Russia-Ukraine, and Israel-Hamas wars. Still Russia, China, America, and European governments contribute billions of dollars in weapons of mass destruction. The United Nations role in the world is apparently limited and paradoxical. Superpowers often veto resolutions bringing progress to a standstill.
